I don't know what to say, other than I feel like I lost and gained something special. It's sort of like getting married, having a child, or losing your virginity. It's the end of one and the beginning of another.
I am a published author. How about that.

Well I think it is a damn fine "that" to be sure Mr. Trant! A published author. Sheesh. Will you sign my cast? (ummmm I'll have to break my arm first, but that shouldn't be much of a problem given my antagonistic nature.)

Congratulations! A little lost, a little gained. It all evens itself out after a while. I'll give you two weeks to bask and then you can start your next book. lol
