The tension was built up nicely; all the little bits of the story added around his internalization.

No, he's not rid of this demon woman. I'm still wondering if she's coming out of the water during the night to sleep next to him.

and the letter he wrote to her - that was a cool twist.

Awesome.dolorahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08715849844092553699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5779183012658025206.post-54076281659235340792010-10-31T13:47:11.333-07:002010-10-31T13:47:11.333-07:00Yikes! Eric, what the heck kind of relationships did you have before you met your wife? *chuckle*

This story nailed the creepy horror feel you were going for. I couldn't figure out who the villain was because it was clear that they were both messed up in so many ways. She abused him but why? And what made him let her do it? What finally drove him to kill her? So many questions and the answers are making my skin crawl.

Great work.

JaiJai Joshihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04858987106548357551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5779183012658025206.post-89841069596191751342010-10-31T13:22:15.731-07:002010-10-31T13:22:15.731-07:00I never did contact the guy who published it. It wasn't paid, and unless there is money involved, the "it" -- whatever "it" is -- doesn't mean much to me.

This "it" was free to me, to him, no skin lost or gained, so no sense bothering him or myself about it, and I wrote it off and no big whoop.

I did think it was cool, though, that he published my story. He had other submissions, so it wasn't for lack of competition.

- EricEric W.
